ELISABETH EFUA SUTHERLAND
Elisabeth Efua Sutherland is a multifaceted artist born and raised in Accra, Ghana. Her performance, dance, and theater interests push her to explore new fields as she breaks limits in her life. In her work, Efua experiments with video, texture, interactivity, sculpting, and more. She wants to know more about the impact of culture on individuals and societies.
Within a short time, Elisabeth has already made her mark in the scope of culture and art. As an artist, she was a part of the Google Cultural Institute team held in Paris in 2016. The next year, Efua was a part of the Harn Museum of Art, Villa Empain, and Accra Theatre Workshop season in Florida, Brussels, and Ghana. She is currently the Accra Theatre Workshop's artistic director.
